15 minute blog: Ready .. GO!

Tonight I am writing about God.  Enlightenment.  I'm writing from my living room in Glenview, Illinois .. a place in which I used to think God didn't exist.  People seemed so angry here .. unhappy, unfulfilled and, for some reason, always in a big hurry (LOTS of horn-honking).  But I have discovered, recently, that I was wrong about that.  God IS here.  Big time.  Bigger than life.  Haha .. when ISN'T God bigger than life : ) Which is my point, exactly.

Life is right here .. on this ground (if you tune in, you can actually feel the pull of gravity holding you to the Earth,  Go ahead and try it .. ). I'd like to invite you to float right up out of your body and hover about 5 or so feet above where you are sitting or standing.  Now, take a slow, deep, comprehensive breath and feel yourself enjoy the weightlessness of your position.

And now, look down at your Earth-bound self, and select out the biggest problem you can think of that have right now.  G'head .. I'll wait (I have 9 more minutes .. I'll give you one of them) ..

Ok, got it?  Good.  I want you, now, to raise your chosen problem all the way up to where you are floating and toss it high in the air a few times allowing the sun's warmth to absolutely fill it with golden light.

After it is fully illumined, start to allow its gentle descent ..

.. and as it alights back down to the Earthly you, feel it ease sweetly into the top of your head (still sun-soaked, of course).  As it makes its way down through your being .. allow it to stop in the spot just above your heart.  This is the place in which your feeling of well-being dwells.  Allow the light it is holding to spread through you.  Feel it spread through your throat, your chest, and your arms (all the way down to your fingertips) .. then feel it work its way down through your solar plexus, belly, pelvis, thighs, legs and feet, and, hey, while you're at it, feel roots grow from the bottoms of your feet down into the earth .. really feel that connection you have to what the Mother Earth has to offer you in the way of nourishment and support.

Sun from above, nutrients from below, you are set, now, with God's blessing  ..

The moral of the story?  God IS bigger.  Remember that.  Let The Light soak your problems until they are illumined.  Keep breathing.  Breathing in that same light.  It's really nice.  And it works.
